Our vision for reconciliation at Wallaby childcare is to enrich, enlighten and to further educate all children, families and educators within the centre of the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, cultures and contributions. Children, families and educators will take this opportunity to develop a strong sense of understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and ways of life within our education program. We value diversity within our service, and, for this reason, we will provide experiences that broaden children’s, families’ and educators’ perspectives and encourage them to participate, in connecting the home, the centre and the community on our shared reconciliation journey. This RAP will be attached to and implemented alongside the weekly curriculum to eventually form part of our Quality Improvement Plan.
