Our vision for reconciliation here at Niño ELA Saratoga Estate is one that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians within the community. It is a vision that promotes equality and equity, truth-telling about the histories of First Nations peoples and a united approach to creating a reconciled future. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds, and actions of all members in our community as we move forward, creating a culturally safe, welcoming centre for all Australians. We strive to equip all our staff to have a better understanding of First Nations peoples, histories and cultures and to provide a curriculum that supports and recognises their importance. We commit to providing an environment that is welcoming and representative of all cultures, and ensuring that Fist Nations children and their families feel safe, valued, and listened to.Our activities and interactions are respectful and purposeful, guided by input from the local Aboriginal community and Elders.
