Our vision for reconciliation is that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experience equality, equity, dignity and respect. We aspire to ensure we have an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are valued and respected.
Buttercups intention is to make a positive and lasting difference in educational outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and create equal and equitable educational outcomes forAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. Our focus will be to embrace reconcilliation and take our employees, families and children along a journey of discovery about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their cultures, histories and to better understand the change that needs to be recognised for Buttercups to achieve the principles of reconciliation.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan is an agreed strategy on how Buttercups intends to develop stronger and more meaningful relationships and partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
At Buttercups, we believe in celebrating the rich and diverse heritage of the oldest continuing cultures and recognising the ongoing strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As an early education provider, we have an opportunity to work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a culturally appropriate way. Wherever possible, we will partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to deliver programs to educate the children in an inclusive, culturally sensitive and appropriate manner.
