Our vision for reconciliation is that Australia is a place of equality and equity, dignity, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples. We aspire to ensure we have a culturally safe environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are valued and respected.
Our focus will be to embrace reconciliation by providing opportunites for employees, families, and children to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, and to better understand the principles of reconciliation.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan is a meaningful commitment that guides Buttercups Highgate to develop stronger and more meaningful relationships and partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
At Buttercups Highgate, we believe in celebrating the rich heritage of the oldest continuing cultures and recognising the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. As an early education provider, we have an opportunity to work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a culturally appropriate way. Wherever possible, we will partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to deliver programs to educate the children in an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and appropriate manner.
