At Keiki Catalina our vision for reconciliation is togetherness.
Fostering a future of healing and reconciliation that requires us all to truthfully and respectfully acknowledge the past. It is only through understanding and acknowledging the wrongs of the past that we are adequately equipped to make proactive amens for the injustices continuing to be faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
By embracing our community of teachers, children, families, and the wider community, we will come together to create an equal and equitable future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people. We commit to respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures across our teaching and learning. We create a sense of belonging and culturally safe learning environments through respectfully including First Nations cultures, perspectives, and histories.
We are proud of our ongoing achievements on our reconciliation journey and the great connections that we are building with the local First Nations community.
