As Aspire Early Education, Truganina, our vision for reconciliation is building connections through honest, respectful, trustful relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We commit to embedding culturally safe and responsive practices and to fostering culturally safe and responsive environments where everyone feels safe and included. As part of our organisation's implementation of the national Early Year Framework’s visions and values, we will proactively work alongside and respectfully educate our early learning community about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, perspectives, and cultures to promote reconciliation between all stakeholders. Our team, in consultation with Elders, will ensure to plan and deliver programs to children and families, sharing accurate historical information that reflects a commitment to cultural safety as well as actively respecting the continuing cultures, knowledge, values, and heritages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are committed to taking a strengths-based approach that respects and values the wealth of knowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families bring to our organisation. Doing so will be achieved through an ongoing commitment to consultation, reflection, recruitment policies and evaluation processes that measure the efficacy of our policies, strategies, and respectful community engagement.
