Our vision for reconciliation at Kids Academy Kedron is for all educators to embed a deep knowledge of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, cultures, histories and perspectives within our daily practices, routines, and rituals. We strive to create culturally safe environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators, children and their families feel welcomed and know that their culture is celebrated. We will teach about and demonstrate, respect, and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait culture with the children at our service. As education professionals we are committed to strengthening our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island culture through engaging with professional development opportunities and staying up to date with contemporary research and educational materials. We will respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our daily decision-making and curriculum development. We will continue to build connections with Elders within our community and liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
