VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Busy Bee's Georges Hall, we are committed to respectfully embedding and acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives within our everyday practices. We will continue to create meaningful opportunities for children, families and educators to learn about and engage with First Nations cultures in ways that are authentic, respectful and ongoing.

We recognise reconciliation as a shared journey that requires continuous reflection, learning and relationship building. Our vision is to foster safe, inclusive and culturally responsive environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories are valued, respected and celebrated within our community.

We are committed to strengthening genuine and respectful partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and organisations. Through these relationships, we will continue to work towards to deepening our understanding of reconciliation to ensure we are being authentic in authenticity creating meaningful learning experiences that are respectful of the knowledge and perspectives of First Nations peoples.

As a team, we acknowledge that reconciliation is an ongoing process. We will continue to build our knowledge and confidence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and perspectives in order to embed respectful practices within our curriculum and learning environments and support children and families to develop an understanding of the oldest continuing cultures in the world. Through our actions, we will continue to contribute to a future that promotes respect, equity and unity for all.
