What does reconciliation mean to Sagewood Success?
Reconciliation for us means educating our staff with the knowledge and understanding to respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives into our curriculum and daily practice. We will support our staff on their journey to cultural responsiveness and always treat all people with respect. We will be role models to the children and families and demonstrate that inclusiveness of diversity is important and a part of everyday life at the service and within the wider community. We plan on including our new understandings and knowledge about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories in our curriculum, to provide the opportunities and resources for all the children to learn and grow.
