Our vision for reconciliation is for Goodstart Preston Dalgety Street is to engage with reconciliation on both a personal and professional level, creating the conditions that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social justice, equality and equity. Through this vision, we are laying the foundations to grow future generations that value and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage as a proud part of a shared identity.
We acknowledge the links that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have with the ancient history of Australia through the Lands from which our early learning environments have been created. We are committed to building partnerships based on trust, respect and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures as enduring, living cultures and we respect and value the cultural insights that we gain as we establish strong links between our service and the children, families and communities with whom we work.
On a foundation of equity, equality, integrity and respect we create high quality early learning experiences for our children. We commit to reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians and support closing the gap in education and employment.
