VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our Lady of Lourdes Outside School Hours Care endevours to have a culturally safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. OLOL OSHC vision for reconciliation is a future where all Australian's are united and in equality, equity and social justice for all people.

In this reconciled future, the cultures, histories, rights and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are heard, understood and respected. We are committed to engaging with the First Nations community to build mutual relationships that deepen our understanding of the local histories and cultures of the Firs Nations community. Australia’s First Peoples have customs and cultures that are integral and intertwined with the Australian identity. Our vision is that every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person has equal and equitable opportunities at OLOL OSHC.

Based on our reconciliation journey and learnings so far, our next most powerful steps involve community engagement to gather a deeper understanding of and connections between the First Nations community and OLOL OSHC.
