As an early education and care service, we want to provide equitable andequal outcomes and opportunities for all children especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who attend our service To educate the children in our care, we must develop an understanding of, enrich our knowledge and respect for, the Bullongin People and the Country on which we reside, learn and explore.
We will ensure that as a service we are respectful in our teaching whilst embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives and histories into our daily practices. We, as a service, will engage with the local community to build strong respectful connections and relationships with the Bullongin People as Traditional Custodians. We are committed to ensuring that all educators, children, and families have access to knowledge and understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the continued significance of First Nations peoples’ cultures. We commit to embedding this in our service through relationships, research, program, practice, and community involvement.
