At Crayon House Childcare, our vision for reconciliation is to acknowledge, educate and explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, histories and traditions. We aim and inspire to ensure we have a culturally safe environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, cultures and values are acknowledged and respected by staff, children and families. We will respectfully embed First Nations peoples’ perspectives into our daily routines and curriculum. We also aim to provide learning environments where First Nations cultures can be explored in safe and respectful ways.
At Crayon House we believe in promoting and celebrating the cultures and heritages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise the strength and resilience of First Nations cultures. We seek to develop committed respectful partnerships between our service, families and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
