The Kinder Garden vision for reconciliation is to be respectful and reflective as we formalise and strengthen our commitments to:
- Building and maintaining respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups and individuals
- Learning about and including diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across our practices
- Embedding a reconciliation perspective of cultural responsiveness sensitivity and respect into our learnings and practices
- Encouraging diversity in our educators, families, and children
As a team, we encourage and promote fairness and respect for all people in the community, with a focus on equality and equity. We acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are Australia’s First Peoples.
We understand our privilege and will advocate for the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
