St Georges Basin PEAK Sports and Learning vision for reconciliation is one where Australia embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians by promoting reconciliation within our before and after school care service and vacation care.
We are committed to working in a respectful way with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities by:
- Recognising the diverse and dynamic nature of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and histories.
-Acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ deep connection with the land, water and communities.
We set positive examples as educators and encourage acceptance and understanding as we ignite interest of reconciliation within the children in our care.
We pride ourselves in our culture program as we too as educators continue to learn and grow in conjunction with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We believe that from little things big things grow and will reach out to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community to break down any barriers or stigmas so that our children can continue their learning journey of reconciliation.
