VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our team at Sanctuary Point Peak Sports and Learning are dedicated and passionate about promoting reconciliation within our service. We understand the importance of Australia’s true history and the continuing impacts of colonisation on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We understand the importance of learning about Australia’s true history and the continuing impacts of colonization on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  We take great pride in our Cultural Program as we ourselves continue to learn and grow while further strengthening our connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We feel that with understanding comes respect and that is what we believe truly leads to reconciliation. Building these foundational relationships ensure we can embed culturally appropriate and respectful teachings into our service every day at Peak. We believe that by learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples about custodianship of the Land and setting positive examples of engaging with First Nations peoples, we have the ability to encourage acceptance and understanding. This work will approach will help as work together as a community for equality and equity.
