Explore & Develop Emu Plains recognises the importance of fostering equality and equity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. We strive to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, histories and perspectives into our everyday practices and for children, families, and educators to grow their understanding and appreciation of First Nations cultures and perspectives. We are developing relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members as we continue learning with and from them about caring for and respecting the Land. From birth through to school age, we expose children to the concepts of anti-bias and anti-racism, and the importance of avoiding stereotyping through fostering respect for diversity, equality, equity and inclusion.
