We at Explorers Early Learning Williamstown are committed to reconciliation as well as increasing awareness and knowledge of Aboriginal and The Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures.
We acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners of the Land, on which our centre is built -.The Yalukit-Willam.We envision a future where Aboriginal and The Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised and celebrated as being the First Nations people in Australia. We wish to learn about their stories, history, traditions, and cultures from the past and present and respectfully share this knowledge with the Explorers community. We aim to achieve this through our commitment to professional learning, inclusive early childhood programs, environments, curriculum, and daily interactions with our children, educators, and families.
We will seek to make connections and respectfully gain advice and knowledge from Elders within our community who choose to share their knowledge and teach us about their cultural heritages, customs and traditional ways.
