At Everlearn Preschool we will respect the histories, heritages, and continuing contributions of Australia's First Peoples through showing empathy, understanding, and kindness. We respectfully seek opportunities to embed First Nations peoples’ perspectives within our daily programs that are linked to the EYLF and the NQS. We hope to create a sense of belonging for all Australians, free from bias and racism through actively engaging with the nation's rich heritage and cultural diversity.
As staff, we wish to continue to deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and experiences so we can authentically and respectfully engage families and the children in appropriate learning experiences within all aspects of the service.
We will seek opportunities to be more present in and create meaningful connections with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and Elders. We hope that through our reconciliation, we can support equal and equitable opportunities for both First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous people.
