Our vision for reconciliation is that Australia will embrace unity between Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander peoples and all Australians.
We recognise and respect the importance for providing children opportunities to engage in learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of the Land on which we play, learn and live. We believe that through learning one’s own culture we have a greater opportunity to understand the culture of others, therefore we embrace the cultures of all children, families and stakeholders. We respect the importance of developing collaborative partnerships with our local communities.
We value, acknowledge and respect our local Wulgurukaba and Bindal Peoples, both past present and emerging. We strive to create harmonious and continuous connections to their community to enhance the opportunities for the children within our service to experience positive influences to develop their knowledge and understanding.
Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we want to work closely with our local community to close the gap within our centre and local community. As a whole service, we embrace unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians and will respect and promote equality and equity for all.
