At Waratah All Year Care, our vision is to create a culturally safe space for children, families and the community, espcially First Nations children and families. We will use our services program to provide meaningful opportunities to educate children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and culture, with special focus on the local Noongar community.
Educators and management will continue to educate themselves on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, contributions and cultures and will respectfully share their knowledge amongst themselves and with the families. Educators will consistently reflect on what reconciliation means to them and continue the process of learning, unlearning, and relearning.
Our Learning Program and Curriculum will reflect our ongoing commitment to the inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing.
