Reconciliation is a continuing journey for us, walking hand in hand with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to create a fair, equitable and inclusive Australia. This journey is based on mutual respect, mutual trust, shared decision-making, and shared goals towards reconciliation.

At Teddy Bears, we acknowledge and engage with the histories, cultures and traditions of the First Peoples of Australia and their connection to this Land, past and present. We ensure our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ ways of knowing and being are respectfully embedded in our philosophy and pedagogy.

We work together in a collaborative partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to foster reconciliation and to achieve a shared vision of equity, respect, harmony and inclusiveness. We continue creating a positive and welcoming environment for our children, families and staff of diverse backgrounds where everyone can feel a deeper sense of connection and belonging.
