At Play and Learn Upper Coomera our vision for reconciliation is to provide a culturally responsive environment that is inclusive of everyone, specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our staff are committed to learning together on our journey of reconciliation, all contributing to our Reconciliation Action Plan and creating an environment that is culturally responsive, inclusive and supportive. We are committed to learning together with families and children and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, about the true history of Australia and ensuring we move forward with a deeper understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives and contributions.
Where appropriate, we will share our learning experiences with our children and families, facilitating opportunities to engage in rich experiences with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities.
