Hope Early Learning Centre Carrum Downs’s vision for reconciliation means that we are respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives into our service. We wish to respectfully educate all children and families at our service about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and histories and respectively embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our service. We acknowledge the true histories of Australia and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures and perspectives and aim to build connections with First Nations Elders, leaders and people. We seek to view the world holistically and with appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples connection to Land. For Hope ELC Carrum Downs reconciliation is a continuous journey, Undertaken with the support of our service community, that has no end point and will continue was we learn and grow alongside Traditional Custodians.
