Our vision for Goodstart Early Learning Flemington, is to strive to build the cultural responsiveness of the team in order to support a culturally safe environment for all children, educators, families and First Nations peoples in our centre. We also strive to continue to build meaningful relationships with the local First Nations communities and service agencies to inform our pedagogical practices to support children and families. In doing so, our vision is to use the early years as a foundational moment to support children to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, traditions and language such that we can support future generations in strengthening our reconciliation commitments. We recognise our responsibility and commitment to First Nations People and Communities and are committed to listen, learn and understand such that we are able to support reconciliation with First Nation People and communities and support future generations to do so.
