We would like to pay respects to the Gweagal Clan of the Dharawal Nation and extend this respect to Elders past, present, and emerging, as well as all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people. At Freckles we acknowledge and respect all members of our community, including the cultures the families, children, and educators bring to the centre. We are committed to building strong and meaningful relationships with the local First Nations community. We will continue to respectfully teach children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives through play-based learning experiences. As an organisation, we are committed to raising awareness about reconciliation, with the goal of encouraging all people to embrace reconciliation and work towards reparation and healing between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people. We acknowledge the RAP is a continual process and we will add to it and grow individually, as a team and as an organisation.
