At C&K Crestmead Community Kindergarten, our vision for reconciliation is to nurture a respectful, inclusive, and connected community where the diverse cultures, true histories, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are respectfully recognised and, valued. We are committed to building genuine, ongoing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, children and the wider community. Through meaningful partnership, consultation, and reflection, we will continue to meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives authentically into our everyday practices and learning environments. We value the voices, knowledge, and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and will continue to create opportunities for educators, children and families to engage with diverse First Nations peoples, cultures and perspectives in ways that foster respect, understanding, and a strong sense of belonging. We acknowledge that reconciliation is a shared responsibility. As a learning community, we are committed to creating and maintaining a culturally safe, responsive and inclusive environment where all children and educators are supported to learn, reflect, and act with respect. Through these actions, we will continue to strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and everyone across our learning community to take action and contribute positively to reconciliation for current and future generations.
