VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Bambinos Kindergarten Fairwater is located on Dharawal Country. We acknowledge the Dharawal people as the Traditional Custodians of this Land and pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Elders past, present, and emerging. We recognise the deep and continuing connections Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Land, culture, and community, and we value the importance of truth-telling as a foundation for genuine reconciliation.

At Bambinos Kindergarten Fairwater, we believe reconciliation is an ongoing journey of respect, learning, and meaningful action. Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we are committed to contributing to the healing of relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community. We recognise that understanding the truth of our shared histories, acknowledging past and ongoing injustices impacting First Nations peoples, and embracing the cultural diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are essential steps toward building a more inclusive and reconciled Australia.

We are dedicated to continuously strengthening our knowledge and understanding of First Nations peoples cultures, histories, and perspectives. By embedding this learning into our practices, programs, and environment, we  create culturally safe and inclusive spaces where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures are respected and celebrated.

As educators, we strive to be positive role models for children, families, and the broader community by fostering respect, empathy, and appreciation for  the First Peoples of Australia. Through ongoing reflection, collaboration, and engagement, we  nurture a sense of belonging, promote cultural awareness, and support future generations in building a more respectful and united society.
