At Oxenford C&K Kindergarten we actively acknowledge the Kombumerri People as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our Kindergarten stands. We are committed to connecting authentically with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and will continue to respectfully embed First Nations perspectives and cultures within our daily practice. By extending our own professional learning, we will develop more understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' traditions and histories, lived experiences and continued contributions, and we will respectfully share our growing knowledge with the children, families and community. Together, we will create an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and cultures are actively valued and celebrated. We are role models for the young children in our care and it is our aim that the knowledge and understanding they gain will continue to shape them in positive ways as they grow and can contribute meaningfully to a future reconciled Australia.
