C&K Park Lake Community Kindergarten

 We acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners, The Kombumerri people, of the Land where our kindergarten service is situated. We collaborate with children, families and community to celebrate, respect and encourage individual culture and diversity, in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives. 

Reflected in C&K Park Lake's philosophy, we are committed to fostering respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories, embedding this into our children's program.  We acknowledge the importance of staff holding knowledge of First Nations cultures, histories and perspectives and provide opportunities to extend staff understandings and cultural awareness of the continuing contribution of First Nations peoples in Australia. We engage in authentic professional development and cultural learning opportunities through connecting with and partnering with local First Nations peoples, elders and leaders.
