Hopskotch's vision is to continue to:
•Maintain a diverse working group that includes educators, management, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, families and any interested parties to drive and work alongside each other as we deepen and strengthen our RAP.
•Holistically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives in our daily curriculum and environments in a meaningful, non-tokenistic, respectful, and culturally safe and responsive way.
•Consistently educate our youngest citizens about the importance of diversity and inclusion, and of the importance of respectfully including the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives in our learning journey towards reconciliation. Drawing on their growing knowledge, children can utilise their strong voices to promote the value of reconciliation and educate their family and community about the opportunity to support both our Kindergarten’s and our nation’s reconciliation journey.
•Strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider local community, to foster a welcoming, inviting space wherein everyone feels that they belong.
