We acknowledge that reconciliation is an ongoing journey of learning, listening, reflection, and action. We are committed to fostering respectful relationships and building our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and connections to Country. Through these efforts, we aim to support all children at our service to develop a strong sense of respect, belonging, cultural awareness, and appreciation for the rich histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We strive to create a learning environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and all children feel a strong sense of belonging, identity, and pride in their culture. We believe that all children benefit from learning about and engaging with the rich and diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Through meaningful learning experiences, reflective practice, and ongoing professional learning, we will continue to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our curriculum, learning environments, and everyday interactions in authentic and respectful ways. We encourage children, educators, and families to learn together, develop respect for diversity, and build an understanding of the importance of reconciliation.
As we continue our reconciliation journey, we will seek opportunities to strengthen relationships, deepen our knowledge, and engage with resources, learning opportunities, and community connections that support reconciliation and positive outcomes for children, families, and the wider community.
