VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Kenwick Childcare Centre, we are committed to fostering genuine and meaningful reconciliation by continuing to build and maintain strong, respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community. We are committed to creating a sense of belonging for all children, families, and educators, while nurturing strong connections to community, culture, and Country.

We recognise and respect the rich cultural identities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and are dedicated to ensuring these identities are celebrated and valued within our service. We believe all children have an important role to play in Australia's reconciliation journey and aim to empower them as confident, compassionate, and informed future leaders.

Reconciliation is embedded throughout our service and is reflected in our daily practices, learning environments, and educational programs. We actively incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our curriculum and create opportunities for children, families, and educators to engage with and learn from First Nations histories, cultures, and achievements throughout the year.  Kenwick Childcare Centre is proud to be a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.

We celebrate the diversity of cultures within our community and encourage meaningful learning experiences that promote understanding, respect, and appreciation among all children, families, and educators.

Through our ongoing reconciliation initiatives, we are committed to building a community where every individual feels valued, respected, and supported to thrive.

We believe that by working together, we can create an environment that promotes equity, inclusion, and a shared commitment to reconciliation for future generations.
