Teen Family Centre's vision for reconciliation is to create strong relationships within the local community on Whadjuk Country. Our vision is for all our educators to be educated in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and where appropriate, to share their knowledge, respectively, with children and young parents and families within the service. Our vision is to connect with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to build reciprocal relationships to learn about the true histories, knowledges, languages and wisdoms of First Nations people and respectfully share with all staff and children. Our vision includes being able to provide a culturally safe and nurturing environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, with authentic and appropriate resources that recognise diverse First Nations cultures and heritages.
