VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Reconciliation - means to acknowledge the past, learn from and grow in the future, strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

Our vision for reconciliation at Endeavour Child Care Hillarys is for all of our educators, children and families to continuously acknowledge, respect, listen and learn from the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we live, learn and play, the Whadjuk Noongar People.  As a centre we will strive for a better understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives, histories, cultures and continuing contributions.

We are committed to working towards building long-term partnerships with Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups in the community.  Through ongoing training and community connections, we will develop educational opportunities for the children within our centre that represents equality, equity and truthful acceptance of our nation's shared history.

We acknowledge the RAP is a continual process and we will add to it and grow individually, as a team and with our children and families.  Our commitment reflects our values of respect, diversity, inclusion and advocating the rights of all children.
