Reconciliation means coming together and in Australia reconciliation refers to bringing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples and other Australians together. To promote reconciliation, the organisation respectfully acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the First Peoples of Australia. We learn more about and respectfully adhere to local traditional protocols within our community. As individuals and a service, we have a responsibility for building awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, current affairs and issues that are relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples locally and nationally; engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples professionally and personally; and furthering the professional learning opportunities as staff to build our knowledge and respect. We support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and organisations within our community.
