At Robe Kindergarten our vision for reconciliation is to create a learning environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures are valued and acknowledged and where First Nations people’s voices are heard and respected. We will work hard to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and learning across all areas of the Early Years Learning Framework and our own locally informed curriculum.
We recognise and acknowledge that our kindergarten is on Buganditj (Boandik) Country, and we acknowledge the Buganditj people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we play and learn. We are committed to creating a culturally inclusive learning environment, celebrating the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and promoting reconciliation. We will actively promote reconciliation across all our learning experiences and in our communication with children, families, educators, and our local community. We commit to building sustainable practice and teaching children about Caring for Country through our nature play and outdoor learning program.
Our RAP will describe our ongoing commitment to cultivating and embedding respect and to establishing ongoing culturally appropriate practice at Robe Kindergarten and in our interactions with the broader community.
