Our vision for reconciliation at The Ranges Early Learning & Care Centre is to continue an ongoing journey that reminds us that generations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and wider Australians have fought hard for meaningful equitable and equal change and into the future more reconciliation work needs to be done.
In a just, equal, equitable and reconciled Australia, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children will have the same life outcomes and choices as non-Indigenous children.
Through educating children, staff and families about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories, we will develop minds young and old alike to greater equality and equity for all.
"Reconciliation isn't a single moment or place in time. It's lots of small, consistent steps, some big strides, and sometimes unfortunate backwards steps...." - Karen Mundine- Chief Executive Officer, Reconciliation Australia. As a service we are taking steps on our reconciliation journey to support a fairer united Australia.
