VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart Evanston Park we recognise and respect diversity amongst Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes (formerly Torres Strait Islander) peoples and non-Indigenous people, ensuring all people can live together without judgement or exclusion. We seek to deepen our awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Zenath Kes peoples cultures, histories and traditions, with a particular focus on Kaurna people and culture. We continue to work in respectful and trusting relationships with Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes children, families, Elders and communities as we work together towards reconciliation.   We acknowledge Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes peoples and strive to make our service a place where Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes families feel welcomed and respected. We continue to ensure our teaching pedagogies are appropriate to all families, ensuring equal and equitable opportunities within our program and practices and collaborating with Aboriginal Elders and community.
