Goodstart Early Learning Blakeview is committed to developing and implementing a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures throughout our daily practice.
We acknowledge the Kaurna People as the Traditional Custodians of the Land and ensure their histories play a significant role in our Centre’s programming and practices, whilst providing families and children with an authentic approach through intentional teaching and learning experiences every day.
The service supports our educators to be committed to further developing their knowledge and understanding and will take on all learning opportunities provided to them both within the centre and wider community.
We continue to develop and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and ensure that everyone feels culturally safe within our service. We continue to collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families for ideas and support in our rooms as we strive towards cultural competence and safety.
We believe that bright futures start with inspiring beginnings and it’s up to us to lead the way in best practice towards reconciliation We constantly update our own knowledge with correct and professional learnings.
