At Salisbury Park Kindergarten we understand that a collaborative and united Australia is key to the progression of reconciliation. We acknowledge the true history of Australia and recognise the important connection that First Nations People have with the Land and Country.
Our vision for reconciliation is to live, work, learn and play in a respectful and inclusive environment. A place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are proud and confident learners in a culturally safe environment.
We will build respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and wider First Nations community members. We will provide opportunities to celebrate culture and diversity, while promoting a safe place to learn and belong. We aim to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' perspectives into our daily routines, programs and practices.
We will provide opportunities for our educators to engage with ongoing culturally responsive training, to develop their understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
