Highway Child Care & Early Learning Centre's vision for reconciliation is to make valuable contributions in our journey of reconciliation, that continues to build respectful relationships, embraces the wider community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to encompass equity, acceptance, and acknowledgement of our shared histories.
We are committed to a future where First Nations peoples’ cultures, histories, heritages, and traditions are respectfully embedded and valued within our service and educational programs for children, families, and our community. We commit to building and strengthening respectful relationships promoting children's, educators and families’ cultural responsiveness and knowldges of the Land and the connections of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to the Land through educational opportunities within our early learning service and with the community. Together we strive to continuously develop our educational environment and learning programs to share and embed a high level of knowledge and respect in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, cultures and contributions and as we make steps forward to becoming a reconciled Australia.
