VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Highway Child Care & Early Learning Centre's vision for reconciliation is to make valuable contributions in our journey of reconciliation, that continues to build respectful relationships, embraces the wider community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to encompass equity, acceptance, and celebration of our shared history. To a future where First Nations cultures, histories, heritage, and traditions are embedded and valued within our service and educational programs for children, families, and our community. We commit to building & strengthening respectful relationships, as we engage with children, their families, and our wider community, to promote children's cultural competence and appreciation of the heritage of the Land, and the connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to the Land through educational opportunities within our early learning service and with the community.  Together we strive to continuously develop our educational environment and learning programs to share and embed a high level of knowledge and pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions and steps forward to becoming a reconciled Australia.
