Goodstart Parafield Gardens

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

We will commit to developing relationships within our community that will foster reconciliation, for children, educators and families to gain a meaningful understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to recognise this country's deep cultural heritage, specifically beginning with the Kaurna culture as Kaurna people are the Traditional Custodians of the Adelaide Plains (Kaurna Land). We will develop and foster respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal community in order to provide the children with a greater knowledge and understanding of Australia's First Peoples. Our desire is to create a place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families fell welcome and respected, and where journeys of learning about, embracing and/or preserving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures is supported and encouraged.
