Mackinnon Parade Children's Centre's vision for reconciliation is to deepen our respect for, understanding of and connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the Land on which we live, work and play, Kaurna land.
We seek to establish meaningful connections with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to further our opportunities for understanding and to provide an inclusive and culturally rich environment for children, families, educators and the broader community.
Mackinnon Parade Children's Centre will seek to establish partnerships with key professionals and members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as we develop a culturally inclusive educational program. We aim to support awareness and understanding of reconciliation within our community, deepening our understanding and connection to the Kaurna Land we are situated on.
Mackinnon Parade Children's Centre has a vision to embed a variety of learning opportunities for children representative of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, histories and perspectives.
