Tannum Sands Kindergarten

Here at Tannum Sands Kindy we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land and are committed to building and deepening our partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our community.

We encourage our children and families to become good custodians of the Land on which they live and play. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander] Elders past present and emerging and are committed to engaging with culturally responsive opportunities to increase our awareness of First Nation peoples’ histories and cultures.  

At Tannum Sands Kindergarten we believe our RAP is an ongoing process that we will add to, as individuals, as a team and an organisation. Through our RAP we will promote the development of appropriate and relevant resources, that will improve cross cultural awareness and understanding, to strengthen engagement, and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and community members.
