Peanut Kids Kindy and After School Care acknowledges the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to society and to the education and care of all children and people in this country, we all live in. A reconciled Australia, to us, would be one that is living in harmony and proudly acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ heritages, perspectives, and experiences.
Peanut Kids Kindy and After School Care has a strong and positive vision for reconciliation. As early childhood educators, we support and encourage this positive journey towards a reconciled Australia. We do this through our everyday interactions with families, children, educators and the community. We partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to respectfully embed First Peoples’ perspectives and ways of knowing and being into our practice and curriculum, and to strengthen understanding and respect for the histories and continued traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We support the principles of a reconciled Australia in the interests of all children and tomorrow's leaders.
