VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Peanut Kids Kindy and After School Care acknowledges the ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and for the continuous education and care of all children and families and communities who live and learn on Wakka Wakka Land. At Peanut Kids Kindy and After School Care, reconciliation begins within our early childhood community and stakeholders, and grows to include our local and wider community. We will continue to   teach and model kindness, understanding, respect for First Nations peoples, cultures, heritages, perspectives, and experiences through authentic relationships and meaningful experiences.   Peanut Kids Kindy and After School Care holds a strong and positive vision for reconciliation. We support and encourage a respectful, collaborative journey toward a reconciled Australia. This commitment is enacted through our everyday relationships  with children, families, educators, and the community. We will continue to deepen and maintain our  partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the local community, to ensure there is a strong understanding of how to respectfully embed First Nations peoples perspectives and ways of knowing and being into our practice and curriculum. We will continue to strengthen understanding and respect for the true histories, cultures, and continuing traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We uphold the principles of a reconciled Australia in the interests of all children and tomorrows leaders.
