Our vison for reconciliation here at Appleberries Burnside is for all educators, children and stakeholders to acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and perspectives as a core part of our nation's history, present day and future.
Our educators recognise the importance of showing respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, by using respectful and inclusive language and terminology.
Our centre aims to create a culturally safe place, through developing relationships built on trust and ensuring that we strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider community.
Our vision is for all stake holders to acknowledge the strengths and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and treating all children and families with the same level of respect, care and empathy, without bias or prejudice.
It is our vision that actions learnt through community connections and through our online training become embedded practices into our daily routines.
