Goodstart Maroochydore Main Road

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Goodstart Maroochydore Main Road acknowledges and values the cultural histories and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our vision is for a future that recognises and embraces Elders past, present and future for all their wisdom and knowledge they hold and share. We want to ensure that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people feel a sense of belonging in our Centre and that we develop positive relationships with our local community and actively respect strong community connections with the Country on which our Centre stands. We will continue to raise awareness around the histories and knowledges of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with our Centre and local community through working together, including the children, and collectively building our understanding for a better future based on relationships with all Australians thus supporting our Reconciliation Action Plan. We will endeavour to incorporate more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our room environments.
