Our vision for reconciliation focuses on maintain reciprocal relationships with Elders, parents, jarjums and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community from near and afar. We will continue to include First Peoples’ voices and histories within our daily practices and learning experiences. We will continue to respect the diverse perspectives and experiences of First Nations peoples as we work with and alongside the Bribie Island (Yarun) and surrounding community.
Through maintaining respectful relationships and providing culturally safe environments, we endeavour for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families to feel welcome within the service community.
Bribie Island Community Kindy staff will continue to be provided opportunities to grow their knowledges and understandings of First Nations cultures and perspectives and share these learning in a meaningful and culturally appropriate way.
