Goodstart Benowa

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Goodstart Benowa’s vision is to provide and promote an inclusive environment that acknowledges, respects and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, cultures and heritage, and where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively acknowledged as the First Custodians of the Lands across Australia on which we meet. Continuously building on our cultural competence through education, reflection and openness, we strive to gain a deeper understanding of the rich histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through the development of meaningful, respectful and genuine relationships with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, we aim to promote reconciliation, equality and equity by embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives and valued ways of knowing and learning within our programs and practices.
